About Our School Tours

Our school tours introduce students to Hamburg’s history through storytelling, historical events, and local legends. Tours are conducted in English and are designed for students ages 13 - 18.

Many schools also use these tours as an opportunity for students to practice English listening comprehension and conversation in a real-world environment.

Tour Options

Highlights of Hamburg History
A tamer tour covering Hamburg’s major historical moments over the past thousand years.

Haunted History Hamburg
A darker tour rooted in real events, crime history, ghost stories, witch stories, Viking violence, and local legends.

Booking Basics

• Single tour bookings require a minimum of 20 paying participants.
• Split format bookings require a minimum of 24 paying participants total.
• Supervisory adults are calculated automatically at 1 adult per 15 students.
• Supervisory adults attend free but still count toward total group size.
• Additional adults are counted as paying participants.
• Tour groups are planned around a maximum of about 30 total participants per guide.
• Tours should generally be requested at least 2 weeks in advance and are subject to guide availability.

Scheduling Preferences

Please provide 2 - 3 preferred date and time options. Tours are subject to guide availability.

Split Format

In split format, your group is divided between Highlights of Hamburg History and Haunted History Hamburg.

This option requires at least 24 paying participants total, with at least 12 paying participants per split group.

School Booking Acknowledgment

By submitting this inquiry, the school confirms that students are within the stated age range, required supervisory adults will attend, and the school will obtain any needed approvals, permissions, or parental consents.
