Refund & Cancellation Policy
We know plans can change. This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, age requirements, weather, private tours, and merchandise orders are handled.
Standard Refunds
Guests may cancel public tour bookings up to 72 hours before the scheduled tour for a full refund.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days for processing.
Late Cancellations
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the tour are non-refundable.
In exceptional circumstances such as illness or major travel disruption, we may review requests on a case-by-case basis.
No-Shows
Guests who do not arrive at the meeting point at the scheduled time are considered a no-show and are not eligible for a refund.
Weather Policy
Tours run rain or shine. Refunds are not provided due to weather unless Haunted History Hamburg cancels the tour.
Private Tours & Group Events
Private tours require advance planning, guide scheduling, and administrative preparation. Because of this, they follow a different refund structure.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and are granted at the discretion of HH Tours.
We may consider:
- Preparation and administrative work already completed
- Whether guides have been scheduled
- Whether merchandise has been ordered or produced
- The timing of the cancellation
In most cases:
- The private tour fee is not refundable once booking is confirmed
- Custom merchandise is non-refundable
- Partial refunds may be considered if canceled more than 72 hours in advance
- Cancellations within 72 hours are typically non-refundable
Cancellations by Us
If we must cancel a tour due to safety concerns, guide illness, staffing issues, or unforeseen circumstances, guests will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Merchandise Refunds
All merchandise is made to order through our production partners.
We will replace or refund items that arrive damaged, defective, or misprinted. Please contact us with photos within 30 days of delivery.
Refunds are not available for incorrect size or color selections, change of mind, incorrect shipping addresses entered at checkout, customs delays, or customs fees.
Age Restrictions
Our tours include real historical events and sensitive subject matter. Guest discretion is advised.
The Haunted History Hamburg tour is not recommended for children under 12. Tickets for this tour are not available for children under 12.
If a guest arrives with a child under 12, this indicates that incorrect information was provided during booking. In these cases, participation is not guaranteed.
Guides may allow participation at their discretion. However, guides reserve the right to refuse service if a child’s presence may impact the experience of other guests or is not appropriate for the content of the tour.
If service is refused due to age restrictions or booking violations, the booking is non-refundable.
The History of Hamburg Harems tour is strictly 18+. Valid identification may be required, and no exceptions will be made.
Guests who do not meet age requirements or who cannot provide valid identification will be refused service and are not eligible for a refund.
