Refund & Cancellation Policy – Haunted History Hamburg

1. Standard Refunds (Public / Small Group Tours)

Guests may cancel their booking up to 72 hours before the scheduled tour for a full refund.

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days for the funds to appear.

2. Late Cancellations

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the tour are non-refundable.

In exceptional circumstances (e.g., illness or travel disruption), we may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us as soon as possible if this applies to you.

3. No-Shows

Guests who do not arrive at the meeting point at the scheduled time are considered a no-show and are not eligible for a refund.

4. Weather Policy

Tours run rain or shine. No refunds are provided due to weather conditions unless we cancel the tour.

5. Private Tours & Group Events

Private tours require advance planning, guide scheduling, and administrative work before the event takes place. Because of this preparation, private tours follow a different refund policy than standard public tours.

Refunds for private tours are handled on a case-by-case basis and are granted at the sole discretion of HH Tours.

When determining whether a refund may be appropriate, we may consider factors such as:

  • the amount of preparation and labor already completed

  • whether guides have already been scheduled

  • whether merchandise has been ordered or produced

  • the timing of the cancellation relative to the tour date

In most cases:

  • The private tour fee, which covers planning, coordination, and administrative work, is not refundable once the booking has been confirmed.

  • Merchandise ordered for an event is non-refundable, as items are made to order through our production partners.

  • Per-person ticket costs may be eligible for partial refund if the cancellation occurs more than 72 hours before the scheduled tour, depending on the circumstances.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled tour time are typically non-refundable.

If HH Tours must cancel a private tour due to safety concerns, guide illness, staffing issues, or other unforeseen operational circumstances, we will work with the group organizer to reschedule the tour whenever possible.

6. Cancellations by Haunted History Hamburg

In the rare event that we must cancel a tour (for example due to safety concerns or unforeseen circumstances), guests will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

7. Merchandise Refunds

All merchandise is made to order and produced through our printing and shipping partners, so refunds are only available in limited cases.

We will happily replace or refund items that arrive damaged, defective, or misprinted. Please contact us with photos within 30 days of delivery.

Refunds or exchanges cannot be offered for:

  • Incorrect size or color selections

  • Change of mind after ordering

  • Incorrect shipping addresses entered by the buyer

  • Customs delays or fees
