About Haunted History Hamburg

Founded in 2016 by Jennifer Bergmann, Haunted History Hamburg (HH Tours) is the city’s original dark history walking tour. While other attractions may touch on Hamburg’s haunted past, our tours dive fully into the city’s complicated, diverse, and often macabre stories.

From the start, HH Tours has been committed to accessibility, diversity, and inclusion. We are proud to be the only dark history tour in Hamburg that is fully accessible upon request, and we are LGBTQIA+ owned and operated.

Our Story

What began with Jennifer guiding small groups through Hamburg’s haunted corners quickly grew into one of the city’s most talked-about tours. With demand peaking during Halloween, Christmas, and summer, HH Tours became a local favorite. However, like many small businesses, the COVID-19 pandemic forced HH Tours to pause operations.

In 2025, HH Tours is relaunching with new energy. Jennifer is now joined by Sara, who has relocated from the United States to expand and strengthen the company. Together, they are creating new tours, growing community connections, and expanding digital offerings.

By 2026, our plan is to grow from one tour to six, giving visitors more ways to explore Hamburg’s past:

Private tours are also available. Guests can shop themed merchandise online and have it shipped directly to their homes.
